Hand-hewn exquisitely in the late 1800's from burl & solids slabs of ancient Italian walnut, with four sculpted columnar legs, surrounding an impressive central octagonal column rising from a decorative double pediment of finials and Renaissance Style carving motifs.  Top & leaves meticulously veneered in thick walnut panels, with solid & burled walnut edge banding & framing.  Total of eight (8) optional-use, original construction, book-matched, chevron pattern, extension leaves - matching the table top.  Excellent condition.  Crafted to perfection and built to endure generations.
